Computer Security Specialist

Location: Sunnyvale, California

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.

2. Confer with users to discuss issues such as computer data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.

3. Monitor current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.

4. Monitor use of data files and regulate access to safeguard information in computer files.

5. Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.

6. Encrypt data transmissions and erect firewalls to conceal confidential information as it is being transmitted and to keep out tainted digital transfers.

7. Coordinate implementation of computer system plan with establishment personnel and outside vendors.

8. Document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests.

9. Train users and promote security awareness to ensure system security and to improve server and network efficiency.

10. Modify computer security files to incorporate new software, correct errors, or change individual access status.

Required Experience & Knowledge:

Minimum 2 years of experience in working as Network Security Engineer.
Shell scripting, task automation using task schedulers
SNORT and Ethereal usage to determine security levels in the organization.
SAS70 and SoX audits
Asset management and Hardware, Asset Management
Software Backup and Recovery
Enterprise Network Arch., Design, Plan, Implementation and Integration
Network Testing- End System verification and Solution testing on Routers / Switches-Cisco series
Multi-layer Switching/Routing -Frame-relay, ATM, ISDN, and xDSL
Multi-protocol Routing/Switching (Data/Voice) – Cisco/DEC Series product line
Network Management tools – Cisco works, HP OV, DEC-clear vision, IBM-Netview, LAN Analyzer - Ethereal

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE-NT4, )
CISCO Certified Network Engineer (CCNA, CCNP)

Job Description:

1. Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments through the analysis of information obtained from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews.

2· Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of Information technology, business, finance, and economic theory.

Required Experience & Knowledge:

Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Experience in Accounting, General Ledger, Receivables and Payables. Cash Management applications, invoicing and payment collection.
Experience in Functional/ Technical Data Analyst, Training Specialist, Requirement gathering, Maintenance and Testing of various Business Applications.
Requirement Study, Gap Analysis, Scope Definition, Recommendations to Business Process Improvements, Development of Procedures, Forms & Documentation, Effort Estimation, Resource Planning, Project Tracking, UAT, and Change Control Management.
Hands on experience in Structural, Functional and Regression testing.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a good team player.
Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports, using computer.
Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
Prepare plans of action for investment based on financial analyses.

Embedded LINUX Kernel Programmer Analyst

Location: Sunnyvale, California
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering

Job Description:

Experience and Skills:

·          Linux kernel developer with 2 or more years of experience

·          Hands on experience working with, modifying and porting 2.6 Linux kernels.

·          Embedded experience a must

·          In-depth knowledge of the operating system internals, concurrency control, memory management, synchronization, and scheduling

·          Programming experience in VLSI, ASIC, FPGA, C/C++, algorithms, multi-threading, and asynchronous programming.

·          C/C++, STL, multi-threaded applications.

·          Experience with Linux Power Management is a big plus.

·          Wireless networking a plus.

 

Experience: 2- 6 Years
